Baku, Azerbaijan, played host to five days of training workshops for aspiring local DJs, music producers, musicians and VJs. In collaboration between British Council Azerbaijan and local partner, Beat Group, a series of production workshops with local artists were organised to help develop creative skills, culminating in a closing summer party at one of Baku's more prominent venues, Opera Sky club.
The first set of workshops focussed on music production and sound engineering, lead by the prominent London-based music production and DJ school, Point Blank London. The workshops saw 12 individuals introduce the concepts of making, recording, and mixing music, as well as recording audio, using MIDI, basic music theory and more.

Simultaneously, VJ training was run at the Film and Animation studio at Khazar University by Your Mom Visuals, based in London. The workshops focused on the production of film loops specific to a theme of Shakespeare, by digitally manipulating footage which were mixed live at an event. Nine participants were taken on a journey encompassing multi-media from the conception of their ideas through to the final stages of VJ-ing to a live performance. The participants were given the opportunity of working with cutting edge Vj mixing software and see their work projected on large screens during British Summer night.
