Hak Baker has been taking folk music to new places over the last few years. He's already come a long way musically since the release of his debut EP, Misfits in 2017.
"There has always been a bubbling UK music scene that's full of diversity" he says, "especially where I'm from on the Isle of Dogs, so I'm always searching for new sounds that excite me."
We spoke to Hak Baker about his upcoming material, his home town and his new EP. He also performed two tracks for us live down at The Selector studios in Hackney, London - "Gazillionaire", a solo effort about what Hak would do with all the money in the world, and, a brand new tune "Thirsty Thursday" performed with his band.
