Naomi’s background is in festival production and arts management. Having studied a degree in Performance Arts at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama she went on to work within operations teams at large-scale European music events including Reading Festival, Latitude and Outlook and Dimensions Festivals.
For the past four years Naomi has been a music programmer for a number of small venues at Glastonbury Festival, a role she continues to enjoy alongside her position at the British Council. Naomi gets a buzz out of showcasing new bands and DJs to audiences and is always on the lookout for fresh emerging talent across all genres of the UK music scene.
In 2015 Naomi was project manager of an Arts Council funded artist development programme, which toured to outdoor arts festivals around the UK. This role developed her understanding of working across a broad spectrum of arts disciplines. Combined with a passion for travel and culture, this experience inspired Naomi to shift the focus of her work from festival production towards inter-disciplinary, cross-cultural arts projects, making the British Council an ideal home for her to nurture her love of the arts.
Alongside her work in the arts, Naomi is also a qualified yoga teacher and a keen advocate of well-being.
