With an emphasis on broadening access to and engagement with world-class music-making, RPO resound works with a wide range of participant groups, from homeless shelters to primary schools. Each project is bespoke and delivered in collaboration with our partners to meet the needs of the specific group. Delivering innovative community and education projects enables the RPO to gain a wider impact from outside the traditional concert hall format.
Members of the orchestra are specially trained to deliver an outreach programme which focuses on creative and inclusive activities that enable participants from any musical, geographical or social backgrounds to participate alongside our musicians. From intimate family music-making workshops in a rural community centre, to large-scale culminations featuring thousands of participants together, RPO resound hopes to engage, inspire and enhance lives through the power of music.
The outreach programme underpins the Orchestra’s concerts around the United Kingdom and beyond, including music education tours to Jamaica, and work with orphanages in Azerbaijan. Flexible project models enable RPO resound to be adaptable to any environment, and to deliver creative and participatory work which truly connects communities.
