The Festival delivers a high-quality, year-round programme of arts projects in schools and community groups in the City of London and in its surrounding boroughs: Islington, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Southwark. Each year hundreds of primary and secondary school pupils, further education students and many members of the public, young and old, put their imaginative stamp on the Festival’s programme, exploring the City in new and inventive ways and revelling in its beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces.
Several of the Festival’s education projects recur annually, such as our Children’s Parade, but new projects are also devised each year responding to particular themes. The Festival employs a range of artists across many disciplines to deliver workshop sessions with the vast majority of projects culminating in public performance or exhibitions as part of the summer programme.
