Wales Millennium Centre is Wales’ flagship arts centre, home to many arts companies such as Welsh National Opera, Ty Cerdd and BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
At Wales Millennium Centre, our programme is packed full of fun and engaging activities for people of all ages and backgrounds ranging from pre-school music, tea dances, tours, activity-filled family days and even opportunities to perform on our Glanfa stage.
One of the Centre’s founding principles is to be a place for people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences to explore the arts through learning and participation and to reach out as widely as possible across Wales. At the heart of this ambition our Creative Learning and Community Outreach Programmes offer participants unique and unforgettable artistic experiences.
Working closely with schools and community groups we run projects and educational workshops throughout the year with the purpose of promoting the arts as both audience members and participants providing educational, social and personal development benefits to those involved.
“I cannot tell you how inspiring it has been…It has been a huge boost to their confidence and allowed them to develop their social skills as well as friendships.”
