BRIDGEWATER HALL
It is our mission to maximise the educational potential of Manchester's world class concert venue through projects, programmes and activities inspired by the building and its rich artistic life, accessible to communities of all ages and backgrounds across Greater Manchester.
Our activity encompasses the five key principles of Creativity, Collaboration, Adventure, Responsiveness and Development.
Throughout the year we present projects, workshops, concerts and events connecting new audiences to the building’s magnificent design and acoustics, and to an inspiring programme of concerts from Manchester and around the world. Working in close partnership with music educators and cultural organisations across the city, we respond to and develop with the needs of our audience to increase access, knowledge and engagement. Each year, our programme reaches almost 5000 individuals from schools, families, students, adults and communities throughout the city, providing opportunities ranging from first access for new audiences to professional skills development for emerging artists.
Groups interested in visiting The Bridgewater Hall can book concerts, tours and events at any time throughout the year. Longer-term school and community projects are offered at certain times of year to fit with themes in the concert programme, national or regional calendar. Please visit our website to see what’s currently on offer.
Bridgewater for All is funded by SMG Europe Holdings Ltd and public and private fundraising through The Bridgewater Hall Community Education Trust.
