Franc Moody Live in Session

In this intimate session for Selector Radio, Franc Moody performs the song 'Losing Touch' taken from their latest release, 'House Down of FM', a lockdown project out now on Juicebox Recordings. This was recorded in August 2021 and Franc's sound is soulful, from the heart and sounds incredible even when it's only two of them in the session!

Heka Live in Session

Heka has been on a true Selector journey during the course of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the early stages of the UK lockdown in 2020, when we put a shout out for artists to send in their demos for us to play on the show, Heka's demo signalled an artistic voice that demanded attention. Fast forward to 2021 and here she is, recording this exclusive session in Florence for a global audience as part of WOW Turkey. Expect deeply intimate songcraft and lo-fi warmth from a genuine 'one to watch'.

This session was recorded for WOW 2021 (Women of the World Festival) in collaboration with Selector Radio and Serious in the UK.

Maya Law Live in Session

Selector favourite Maya Law is a songwriter hailing from Norfolk in the East of England whose soulful style has earned her admirers from BBC 1Xtra to 6Music. With her latest release Hitchhiking she has skilfully added to a back catalogue of songs that have the ability to feel at once deeply personal and yet reassuringly famililar.

This session was recorded for WOW 2021 (Women of the World Festival) in collaboration with Selector Radio and Serious in the UK.

Bryony Jarman-Pinto Live in Session

Bryony Jarman-Pinto was born in London and raised in Penrith, Cumbria, surrounded by music. Perhaps that's why her music now is so hard to pigeonhole – steeped in jazz, her sophisticated songwriting is brought to life with effortless vocals and layered with soul and elements of folk to create her own unique sound.

This session was recorded for WOW 2021 (Women of the World Festival) in collaboration with Selector Radio and Serious in the UK.

Sinead O'Brien for Selector Live

Sinead O'Brien establised herself as a Selector Radio favourite in 2020 with a run of sit-up-and-take-note songs featuring her unique and compelling spoken-word style inspired by the likes of The Fall's Mark E. Smith and Patti Smith. Her admirers to date include The Guardian, Loud And Quiet, The Quietus, Stereogum, BBC Radio 1, and BBC Radio 6 Music. O’Brien’s writing has also been published by the esteemed London Magazine whose alumni include T.S. Eliot, Sylvia Plath and William Burroughs.
